Fields of Research
International Relations, International Political Economy, Comparative Politics, and/or Area Studies. Candidates with expertise in geopolitical risk analysis of the semiconductor industry or AI-related research in the humanities and social
sciences are preferred.
Position Available
One full-time research fellow. The primary appointment will be with the Institute of International Relations (IIR), with a joint or secondary appointment at the Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies, the College of International Affairs. The successful applicant is expected to teach 1–2 English-taught courses per academic
year.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field or an equivalent rank of assistant professor or higher.
Applicants must possess the ability to conduct independent research, publish in international academic journals, and present at international conferences, as well as teach in English.
Interest in policy exchange and academic administration is preferred.

Copy of the Ph.D. degree certificate. For foreign degrees, verification by Taiwan’s overseas embassies is required. Applicants who have not yet graduated must complete all requirements by June 30, 2025. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Original doctoral transcripts.
Ph.D. dissertation and three representative publications (those who have not completed their dissertation must provide finished chapters and a schedule for completion).
A research plan for the next three years (in Chinese or English).
English course outlines for two proposed courses related to the applicant’s expertise. Applicants with prior teaching experience should include teaching evaluations.
Two letters of recommendation. Recommendation letters are sent separately by the recommender.
If the dissertation is incomplete, the advisor must provide confirmation of progress and expected completion by May 31, 2025).
A copy of the teaching certificate (if available).
